When a
business invests in a communication system, it must consider
call processing and messaging requirements when evaluating
the complex myriad of solutions. InMail from NEC is a digital voice mail application
designed specifically for the Electra Elite IPK II. InMail’s unique
digital integration is the result of the voice processing system
being built right onto the CPU instead of being a separate board.
The InMail message storage mounts directly on the system’s Central
Processing Unit (CPU) resulting in the highest level of
integration. Digital integration brings increased speed and accuracy
to your voice mail system. This results in improved efficiency,
economy and convenience. The NEC InMail messaging system combines
value and convenience with all the needs of the smaller sized business.
The inherent design results in the InMail being easy
to install, program and administer. The voice mail system shares the
same HTML GUI interface used for system programming; WebPro / PCPro.
These programming interfaces communicate with the voice mail system
using the CPU’s built-in Ethernet connection. The final result is a
cost effective, smart voice mail system that is easy to install and
maintain.
Administration can even be done from your telephone.
With easy to use SoftKeys, it's
simple to change the company greeting, add someone to the dial by
name directory, or add a new mailbox. You don't need to be an
engineer to keep the NEC InMail running perfectly.
InMail is designed for businesses requiring up to 4
voice mail ports. InMail is available with 2 to 4 voice mail ports
and supports up to 128 mailboxes and eight hours of storage.
NEC InMail is Easy to UseThe intuitive user interface is enhanced with
SoftKeys. Each user with a
multiline telephone with a display will be guided with message
management options. SoftKeys make it easy to manage voice mail
messages and enjoy the features of the system and maximize your
investment in display telephones.
Users obtain immediate access to features that you decide you
need the most by pressing one key. For example, you may choose
“Calling in to Your Mailbox” or “Leaving a Message” for a coworker
or the entire department. The inherent system flexibility allows you
decide the order in which messages are played. You may select from
either LIFO (Last or Newest Message Played First) or FIFO (First or
Oldest Message Played First).
In addition to the standard message light, a message count on the
telephone LCD keeps users informed as to how many messages are
waiting in their mailbox. There is no need for users to call in to
voice mail to find out if new messages are waiting. This maximizes
employee productivity and improves responsiveness to customers who
are awaiting callbacks.
The InMail’s feature set contains all the features
you would expect to find in standard voice mail systems, but also
includes advanced features typically found only in larger, more
expensive systems.
A conversation
recording feature keeps a recording of a conversation and stores
it directly into your mailbox. Later on, you may review the recorded
conversation for important details, forward it to another user or
use it to document conversations.
The answering
machine emulation feature can be used to screen calls just like
a home answering machine. Users can choose to interrupt their
current task and immediately answer important calls, or let the
caller continue to leave a message in their mailbox.
The Electra Elite IPK II is equipped to associate
the caller ID information retrieved with the voice mail message. The
IPK II stores the telephone number of the caller who left a message
in your mailbox. After you listen to the message, press a single key
to return the call quickly, without manually dialing the number.
Employees can record and store up to three greeting
messages and may then select the one most appropriate to activate.
Voice Mail for Today's Businesses
InMail complements and completes business messaging
options and cost effectively delivers a turn-key solution. .
InMail improves employee efficiency by sending
calls to voice mail when employees are too busy or can’t answer
incoming calls. Callers are welcomed with a personal, prerecorded
Personal Mailbox Greeting and instructed to leave a message.
The sophisticated Automated
Attendant capabilities complement the InMail’s voice messaging solution
by managing how calls are answered and routed. The Automated
Attendant can route each incoming
line based upon time of day and day
of week. The caller is greeted with different announcements and
dialing options, depending upon the number dialed, time of day and
day of week. This flexibility makes it possible to use InMail when
the IPK II is configured in a tenant environment.
