Introduction to Perfect Integrator
Perfect Integrator has been designed to enhance the integration between Perfect Voice Office/Perfect
Voice Office Professional and Teleco/Toshiba telephone systems. Perfect Integrator enhances your CTI
solution by sending you Caller ID screen pops and providing call control of all your calls. Whether your call
is being transferred to you from a receptionist or an automated attendant, you receive caller identification
as a screen pop in the Perfect Voice Office/Perfect Voice Office Pro Desktop Interface.
NOTE: Analog DID lines do not provide Caller ID for Teleco/Toshiba telephone systems.

Installing Perfect Integrator
Requirements
Voice Mail System
· Perfect Voice Office, Release 3.01.33 or higher software installed.
· Perfect Integrator software installed.
· Voice Mail System must have one available COM port for each Perfect Integrator.
· CTI must be enabled on the voice mail sentinel key.
Telephone system
· Works with UST-1424i/DK424i, UST-1424DK/DK424, and UST-1280/DK280 telephone systems.
· UST-1424iDK/DK424i requires one empty slot for every cabinet for a maximum of five Perfect
Integrators per system.
· UST-1424DK/DK424 requires one empty slot for every two cabinets for a maximum of three
Perfect Integrators per system.
· UST-1280DK/DK280 requires one empty slot for every two cabinets.
· Programming the telephone system:
§ Tone First is recommended for the system, as transferred calls from the operator in a voice
first environment currently only sends the internal screen pop, not the Caller ID screen pop.
§ In program 03, the slot in which the Perfect Integrator is installed can be left as code 00.
User

· Perfect Voice Office Desktop Interface must be installed on User's PC.
· User must have digital telephone.
Hardware Installation

1. Install the Perfect Integrator card in an empty slot on the telephone system.
§ UST-1424iDK/DK424i requires one Perfect Integrator for each cabinet.
§ UST-1424DK/DK424 requires one Perfect Integrator for every two cabinets.
§ UST-1280DK/DK280 requires one Perfect Integrator for every two cabinets.
2. Plug the cable into the desired COM port on the voice mail system.
NOTE: When installing the telephone system, remember that a Perfect Integrator is required for every
two cabinets (UST-1424DK/DK424, UST-1280DK/DK280) or every cabinet (UST-1424iDK/DK424i).
For this reason, it is recommended that the Desktop Users that have digital stations be grouped into the
same cabinet(s) to minimize the number of Perfect Integrators required.

Software Installation
Modify INI file on the voice mail system
Perfect Voice Office Pro (32-bit):
1. Start the PVO Configuration Wizard.
2. Modify CTI Settings as follows:
§ CTI Installed = Yes
§ CTI Mode = Toshiba
§ CTI Debug Mode = No
§ CTI Debug File = No
§ Com Port Used with CTI = (appropriate
COM port number)
Perfect Voice Office (16-bit):
1. Log in at the Installer level.
2. Click Parameters Edit INI.
3. Modify the CTI Settings section as shown
above.
4. Save and Exit the INI file.
Install Perfect Integrator software on the voice mail system
I&M
1. Insert CD in the CD-ROM drive on the voice mail system.
2. The Installation Wizard guides you through the necessary installation steps. You are prompted
to enter the number of Perfect Integrators you are installing.

3. Configure Perfect Integrator on the voice mail system by specifying the COM port(s) Perfect
Integrator is connected to and mapping extensions. See next section, "Configuring Perfect
Integrator", page 4.

Configuring Perfect Integrator
To configure Perfect Integrator, you need to specify the COM port(s) Perfect Integrator is connected to
and map extensions.
1. From the voice mail desktop, select Start and the voice mail program group.
2. Select Perfect Integrator Configuration from the voice mail program group. The COM port screen
displays.
3. Select the appropriate telephone system (the screen changes depending on which telephone system
you select). Specify the correct COM port for each cabinet or set of cabinets.

4. Click Mailbox Mapping... to map mailboxes for the cabinet(s). The mapping screen changes
depending upon the telephone system selected.

6. Enter extensions for the remaining cabinets and click Finish.

Installation
Using Perfect Integrator
With Caller ID and the Perfect Integrator, Perfect Voice Office notifies you of every incoming call with a
screen pop. You will receive two screen pops one from Perfect Voice Office and one from Perfect
Integrator. First, the Perfect Voice Office Caller ID screen "pops up" on the PC monitor before your
telephone rings. The Perfect Integrator Caller ID screen appears as your telephone rings. These screens look
the same. NOTE: If you do not wish the Perfect Voice Office screen to appear, you may "uncheck" the
"Get Caller ID" field in the Class of Service.
Several options are available for each call:
· Answer: You may take the call now before it goes to voice mail. This is only valid on the Perfect Voice
Office screen pop (the one that appears before your telephone rings).
· Record: You may record your conversation by clicking the "Record" button (on the Perfect Voice
Office Caller ID screen) at any time during the call. The record button on the Perfect Integrator screen
only works if your telephone is busy. For example, if you have multiple DNs and only 1 DN is busy, you
will not be able to record your conversation.
· Take Message: This option sends the caller to your mailbox.
· Transfer: You may transfer the caller to another extension.
· Hold: You may place the caller on hold for a specified time (30 seconds, 1, 2, or 3 minutes).
· Recall: You may retrieve a caller from your mailbox who is leaving a message.
· Contact: You may assign a contact to incoming calls from the Caller ID screen.
· Dial: You may dial the highlighted number from the Caller ID screen.

Viewing Raw Data
For debugging or troubleshooting, you may use the Perfect Voice Office system to view the raw data
being sent from the Perfect Integrator. To view the raw data, the CTI Debug setting must be set to
"Yes" in the Perfect.ini file on the voice mail system. From the voice mail system, select View-PBX
Events. A screen similar to the one below appears.
